Utah Vein Treatment Center | Your First Visit
Your first visit is to discuss your condition.
If you are visiting us for the first time or for a new problem, please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for registration. We ask that no one under the age of 18 accompany the patient to the appointments. For your convenience, our patient forms are available online.
As a healthcare leader in vein treatment, many people are trying to schedule appointments with us. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so another patient can be seen during your previously appointed time.
What will happen?
What should you expect in your first visit to our Utah vein treatment center
With your initial appointment, the doctor will use the time to examine and diagnose your condition. In most cases there are many treatments available, so the doctor will explain each treatment option and help you decide which treatment is best for you and your condition. If you have questions, you are encouraged to ask them all throughout the treatment experience, but especially during the first visit. Our doctor and skilled staff are available to answer questions so that you are comfortable and are not surprised throughout our process.
Be sure to bring these items for a quicker visit.
To help us provide you with the best, most efficient care, please bring the following to your first appointment:
- Insurance card(s)
- If your insurance company requires a written referral, bring the referral to your office visit
- A list of current medication(s)
- Co-payment, if applicable
- Any pre-registration forms you may have downloaded and completed at home
What does your varicose vein condition really look like?
As part of your second visit, we will map your veins using an ultrasound mapping system. This mapping helps us understand your bodies individual blood flow pattern and illustrates where problem veins begin and end so we can accurately treat your condition. This is an important part of the treatment process because varicose veins can be extremely hypodermic and not visible on the surface. This process will give us a complete view of your varicose vein condition and make the Utah varicose vein treatment process quicker and less obtrusive.
After your first visit
Follow up visits ensure a comprehensive treatment experience
After your initial visit and first treatment, you can expect to return to the office for quick visits to continue the treatment process. You can expect each visit to be shorter than 1 hour. Each treatment session is outpatient and should be painless. Once your veins are completely treated, it is unlikely that the condition will return. Our doctor will give you the appropriate guidelines for ensuring that future varicose veins are avoided where possible.
